〈 CHARACTER INFO 〉
CHARACTER NAME: wendy corduroy
CHARACTER AGE: 15
SERIES: gravity falls
CHRONOLOGY: post "escape from reality"
CLASS: hero!
HOUSING: please room her with trucy wright, preferably in one of the bigger cities.
BACKGROUND:
Wendy has grown up and lived in Gravity Falls, Oregon her whole life, easily the weirdness capital of the world. And not just the people there, the entire town is the central hub for paranormal happenings. Gnomes, UFO crash landings, zombies, live wax figures, ghosts, inter-dimensional demons taking over the town. The list goes on and on. It's a town full of huge, paranormal secrets that a large majority of regular citizens never seem to notice, despite how abnormal they themselves are. There's Fiddleford McGucket, local coot who rambles about various crazy things, and speaks in his own language of claps and slaps on occasion, another man who married a woodpecker just because he could (and has various marital struggles), and then Tyler, who randomly pops in just to say "get 'im, get 'im!" and nothing else. He's also the mayor now, somehow. The only times people actually paid attention to when things got weird was when Gideon Gleeful, a town psychic everyone adored for being adorable, was proven to be a fraud, cheat, and just a bit off the deep end. Another was when gravity stopped working on multiple occasions when Stanley Pines turned on an inter-dimensional portal his twin brother, Stanford Pines created. It caused a rift in space time to be created, which Bill Cipher, a demon from another dimension, broke by the end of the season, thus releasing all of his weirdness into Gravity Falls. The town dubbed the event "Weirdmageddon", as demons of literally all shapes, sizes, and orifices began running amok and weirding everything out. The only documented evidence of any paranormal activities in Gravity Falls are through three journals that have notes and clues about what exactly the weird beings are, where to find them, and many other details. They were written by Stanford Pines, the twin brother of Wendy's boss, Stanley Pines, so he's the expert on all things weird in Gravity Falls.
As far as weird adventures Wendy has been a part of, it started with her taking Dipper and Mabel to an abandoned convenience store. After she and her friends trashed the place a little, ghosts of the owners appeared and began punishing the teenagers for their actions, such as trapping them in games or TVs. A few times Wendy was part of strange events but didn't know it, such as when copies of Dipper were running around trying to follow a plan to make her like him, or when Dipper repeatedly traveled back in time to win Wendy a stuffed animal of unknown species. She eventually begins dating Robbie Valentino in the time travel episode, but breaks up with him later after he brainwashed her to love him again with a subliminal message in a song. She wasn't much involved when Gideon tried to steal the journal Dipper to unlock the secrets of Gravity Falls, but she would've moved away had the twins not defeated him. Wendy becomes much more involved in season two, going along on adventures when the twins invite her along. One of the more prominent adventures was when she helped them discover an underground bunker belonging to the author of the journals, built in preparation of the apocalypse. She and Dipper run into someone claiming to be the author (who is a mystery at this point), but find out he's a shapeshifting creature instead and trap him inside a cryogenic chamber after Wendy battles it when it copied her appearance. Later in the summer, the gang (being Dipper, Mabel, Wendy, and Soos) follow a lead that local coot old man McGucket is the author of the journals. They instead discover a secret society that erases the townsfolk memories anytime they see the weirdness of Gravity Falls. Dubbed the Society of the Blind Eye, they attempt to erase everyone's memories, but are stopped by McGucket, who already lost his mind so they memory eraser doesn't work on him. They find out that rather than writing them, McGucket helped the author with a project and writing the journals.
For a while, Wendy isn't in some of the crazy adventures, instead being seen for a few minutes in an episode, or one where she isn't directly involved with the weirdness, such as when Mabel got Robbie and Tambry, Wendy's best friend, to be a couple. Their friend group split up temporarily but got back together at the end. Later on, she helps Mabel find unicorns to obtain a lock of their hair to aid in a spell Stanford Pines will use to protect their from Bill Cipher, the demon who has a grudge against the Pines family. But the unicorn continues to deny the girls any assistance, so she comes up with a plan to knock it out and steal the hair instead. Things naturally go wrong, so a showdown between the girls and the unicorns ensues. I can't make this up if I tried. Nearing the end of the season, Wendy shows up again after a rift opened up in space time, allowing Bill and his freaky friends to rampage around their dimension. With the townspeople defenseless and getting captured, and the demons having their way, Wendy hid inside the mall and created her own shelter. Once Dipper finds her and they each explain their own stories of what's going on, they decide to rescue Mabel from a prison Bill made specially for her. They have to battle through Gideon and his cronies, find Soos along the way, and the three of them break into Mabel's bubble together. Inside, they find it's a perfect paradise for Mabel and all the things she's dreamed up. It gives the people inside whatever they wish, and Wendy is even taken in with it for a while until Dipper convinces Mabel that reality isn't as bad as she thinks and they need to go home and stop Bill. Once she agrees, they all return to a destroyed, burning Gravity Falls, overrun with chaos.
PERSONALITY:
Upon first introduction, Wendy is easily the chillest person anyone will ever meet. Nothing much really bothers her, not even when Dipper develops a crush on her. She knew the entire time, but still wanted to hang out with him because he was a good friend and made her summer so much more enjoyable. She has no problems hanging out with kids a few years younger than her, even though her friends teased them a bit. Though she is still a teenager, which means Wendy loves going out and doing stupid stuff, like breaking into abandoned convenience stores or going to festivals. She'd much rather have fun with her friends than work at her part time job at the Mystery Shack. Sometimes her chill goes to extremes and she'll wind up being straight up lazy. Wendy has outright told Stan that she wouldn't clean the toilet or wouldn't put up signs in the forest because she couldn't reach them. Wendy even went as far as creating a little relaxation area on the roof of the shack that she sneaks off to.
Though Wendy is laid back, she will become very intense when she or her friends are in danger, such as when the shapeshifter attacked them. She helped Dipper think up a trap to stop it, and even fought against it when it took her form. She did get extremely mad when the unicorn frequently said Mabel didn't have a pure heart, because to Wendy, Mabel was a saint. She had no qualms going into a gnome tavern and trafficking butterflies to get fairy dust to knock out the unicorn and steal its hair. And she's all too willing to get a fight started when someone deserves a good punch in the face, as she encouraged Mabel to beat up a unicorn. She's also proven to be resourceful and cunning at times, like making her own shelter during weirdmageddon and managing to avoid Bill's guards and stay safe. She's very handy with a crossbow and ax from when she participated in lumberjack games. Wendy is probably the most understanding out of the group, offering Mabel dating advice and telling her she's great as she is. And having dated nine guys, Wendy has experience she's willing to share with Mabel to help her however she can. She doesn't judge anyone at first glance and chooses to befriend anyone who knows how to have a good time, which is why she gets along with the twins so well.
POWER:
Summoning axes: Wendy is able to summon up to ten axes at any given time. They will last for three days before disappearing again.
Super strength: Pretty sure this is self explanatory, but it has a limit at 500 pounds. Anything heavier than that will be a huge challenge for her to lift.

(wendy's face is seen when the video first starts, her tongue sticking out slightly as she adjusts the camera. once it's positioned properly, she moves back to show more of herself. in one hand, she has a crossbow, the other, an ax. yes. weapons.) Okay, so this place seems cool and all, with the powers and all, and while I'm totally willing to ignore all the bad stuff and just have a good time in the city, biz is getting weird. (she swings the ax up to rest on her shoulder as she latches the crossbow to the side of her leg.) Weirdmageddon is happening right now in my hometown, and there's no telling when it'll get to the rest of the world. And sure, it might not seem like much since we'll be up against demons that you just stare at and think "what the actual heck", I'm willing to teach people how to use a couple good weapons to defend themselves. Plus, there's apparently weird stuff around here, too. This could be a vacation, but I'm still too much in apocalypse mode to kickback just yet. (she gives the audience a smile and a thumbs up before cutting the feed.) Hit me up if you wanna hit things.

FINAL NOTES: she's coming with her crossbow and you better believe she will use it.
